Vodafone leads the way for corporate power purchase agreements in Ireland

In September 2024, Vodafone (British multinational telecommunications company) became the first telecommunications company to sign a corporate Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) in Ireland.

The agreement, signed with Flogas (British energy supplier) along with its infrastructure partner Vantage Towers (German telecommunications company), will enable the company to purchase renewable electricity directly from the Derrynadivva Wind Farm in County Mayo, Ireland.

The energy secured within this agreement gives Vodafone access to clean, high quality and affordable renewable electricity for its extensive network of cables that deliver mobile and fixed services to customers across Ireland.
