The Valorem Group, an independent renewable energy operator, announced signing a corporate PPA with the Alliance Group, which represents small- and medium-sized enterprises across the food chain. The objective for Alliance: to purchase solar electricity located on French agricultural land at a fixed price over 20 years.
Located notably on a plot of land owned by Sodem – a French sheep and goat meat slaughterhouse and the largest employer in the region – the photovoltaic plant will house a sheep pasture and produce nearly 12.4 GWh annually.

“This partnership will enable us to cover 15% of the Alliance Group's electricity needs. This agrivoltaic project is in line with the Alliance Group's philosophy, which is closely linked to the agricultural sector. It fully meets the expectations of the Group's SMEs and their customers to offer power produced in France in the most environmentally friendly way possible. The complexity and novelty of a PPA contract required Greensolver's expertise to successfully complete this initiative.”
