Who we are
The RE-Source Platform was founded in Brussels in June 2017 as an alliance of stakeholders representing clean energy buyers and suppliers.
The Platform pools resources and coordinates activities to promote a better framework for corporate renewable energy sourcing at EU and national level. Run day-to-day by the four founding organisations and steered by a committed group of corporate buyers and developers, the platform is designed to allow maximum cooperation and communication between renewable energy buyers and sellers and helps to realise the full potential of renewable electricity sourcing in Europe. The RE-Source team aims to increase the number of active corporates using renewable energy sourcing from 100 to 100,000.
Core team and founding organisations
Annie is the Director of the RE-Source Platform. Annie’s key responsibility is to drive RE-Source’s policymaker and energy buyer engagement strategy. She coordinates the execution of the Platform’s activities.
Malgosia is the RE-Source Platform Coordinator for WindEurope and supports on delivering the strategic objectives of the Platform. Malgosia is Deputy CEO at WindEurope, where she drives the strategic and overall development of the association
Dries is the RE-Source Platform Coordinator for SolarPower Europe and supports on delivering the strategic objectives of the Platform. At SolarPower Europe he is responsible for the policy work and strategy of the association.
Natasha acts as the key point of contact for RE100 companies. She is responsible for engaging RE100 corporate members in campaign activities, events, reporting & policy work.
Oliver leads the RE100 initiative as part of the Climate Group’s Energy System work.
Surbhi leads the ‘Decarbonising heat for light industry’ and ‘Scaling renewables’ workstream at WBCSD. As part of these workstreams, she brings together all relevant stakeholders across the value chain of decarbonised heating and renewable power solutions with an aim to accelerate their corporate deployment.
Mariana leads WBCSD’s energy program, facilitating global coalitions of business and external stakeholders to accelerate the transition to a sustainable world by implementing innovative business models in the energy industry. She supports companies in their development of sustainable business strategies and implementation or investment in innovative energy solutions.
Pierre has been at WindEurope since 2011. He coordinates the association’s advocacy activities. He advises RE-Source Platform from a regulatory perspective.
Naomi Chevillard is SolarPower Europe’s Head of Regulatory Affairs. In this role, she coordinates the regulatory analysis and position developments of the association. She advises the RE-Source Platform from a regulatory perspective.
Guy facilitates business opportunities by developing and disseminating the Renewable Energy Buyers Toolkit and working with partners to develop support for corporate renewable energy procurement.
Simon Dupond is SolarPower Europe’s Policy Analyst on Electricity Markets & Finance. In this role, he coordinates a workstream on Markets and Investments to develop policy positions of the solar sector. He advises the RE-Source Platform on finance and policy topics.
What we do
The RE-Source Platform pushes for the removal of regulatory and administrative barriers to corporate renewable energy procurement in Europe in support of the EU’s climate and energy goals. The Platform provides a wealth of free information and resources on corporate energy sourcing, including an annual event which brings together both buyers and sellers from across Europe.
The corporate sourcing market in Europe has taken off over the last few years. Corporate electricity buyers, renewable energy suppliers and policy-makers have a unique opportunity to work together to help Europe achieve its climate and energy objectives by enabling new, competitively-priced renewable energy resources at a scale not otherwise achievable. RE-Source Platform is prepared to continue leading by example and accelerate the transition to a smarter, more sustainable and more inclusive European energy system.
